APR coils were designed as a Plug and Play Upgrade over the original Coils and deliver more output energy, giving a stronger and more stable spark. Until now many people have used Red Coils from Audi's top-of-the-range models, but tests have shown that their performance was equal to the original coils, apart from the Red look popularised by the Audi R8 and retained by APR to combine style with performance, with 10% extra energy at the coil output.
