The letters KW stand for sportiness and motorsport; this German suspension manufacturer is one of the pioneers in the field. They make numerous suspension components for a wide range of car models. They were also the first to integrate a hydraulic “lift” system that raises the front or rear of a lowered car by 3 to 4 cm so that it can clear speed bumps and other obstacles; this very ingenious system is available for most supercars. At KW, several coilover variants are available, with more or less expensive finishes: Variant 1 only lets you lower a car, Variant 2 lets you lower it and choose the stiffness, while Variant 3 offers the same settings as the V2 and adds the ability to adjust the preload. The KW Variant 4 is the coilover kit intended for high-end cars such as Lamborghini, Audi RS6, R8 and other sports cars. These variants are all made in Germany from premium materials such as stainless steel or aluminium.
