Certificate for Parts Bought from Rupteur or with Swiss Proof of Purchase

If you bought your parts from Rupteur or from another Swiss retailer, we can provide you with a new certificate at preferential rates if it has been lost or you have changed vehicle.

For parts ordered from us, ideally give us the order number; if you ordered from another retailer, it is important to send us the proof of purchase so that we can process your request.

Why do I need a certificate of conformity?

To be approved on your vehicle in Switzerland, most accessories such as wheels, brake discs, exhausts, intakes and suspensions require a Swiss declaration of conformity, also called a homologation certificate, while others require a DTC/Fakt certificate (wheel spacers, camber plates, lowering of more than 40mm, removal of DCC modules). For all purchases made at Rupteur, the corresponding certificate is issued to you or offered as an option on the products concerned. The modifications must be reported to the authorities and entered in the vehicle registration document within 14 days.

Beware of purchases online and abroad

When buying parts abroad and on many websites that appear Swiss (with .ch domains, Swiss prices and phone numbers), products may be described as approved but do not meet the Swiss standards issued by the ASA and federal ordinances. You are often given a European TÜV certificate, but unfortunately it is not recognised in Switzerland (it is a technical opinion and not a formal declaration of suitability as required by the cantonal vehicle licensing offices).

Need a declaration of conformity?

We offer homologation certificates at the price recommended by the importer. We also charge a flat fee of 35 CHF for order processing. If you ordered these parts from Rupteur and lost your certificate, or if the parts have been fitted to another vehicle, we invite you to contact us for more information on how to obtain a new one at a preferential rate.
