What gets changed at a service
- At every oil change: engine oil, oil filter and sump plug washer or sump plug.
- According to the service schedule: air filter, cabin (pollen) filter, fuel filter, spark plugs, gearbox oil change.
- Generally every two years: brake fluid.
Your vehicle's service schedule, in the service book or the on-board computer, sets the exact intervals.
Original-equipment quality
Our filters, spark plugs and service parts come from suppliers who also supply the carmakers: MANN, Mahle, Bosch, NGK, Elring, Febi Bilstein… You get the quality of the original part, often without the vehicle brand's logo.
Servicing and manufacturer's warranty
Having your car serviced outside the brand's dealer network does not void the warranty, provided you follow the manufacturer's service schedule with parts of equivalent quality and keep a record of the services carried out (service book, invoices).

Engine oil
Choose your oil according to the manufacturer's specification (for example VW 504 00 / 507 00 or MB 229.5), given in the service book: viscosity alone is not enough. Engine oils, gearbox oils and additives: see our lubricants.

Frequently asked questions
When should the oil filter be changed?
At every oil change: a used filter would leave some of the impurities in the new oil.
Does the sump plug need replacing?
The washer is replaced at every oil change to prevent leaks; on many engines, the whole plug with its built-in seal is changed.
When should the cabin filter be changed?
According to the service schedule, often once a year, and sooner if the ventilation weakens, the windows mist up easily or an odour appears.
Does servicing outside a dealership void the warranty?
No, if the manufacturer's service schedule is followed with parts of equivalent quality and the services are documented.
How do I find the parts for my vehicle?

How much does a service cost in Geneva?
